Welcome to the Happy Halloween Edition of Fall Classics,
Following are three fall classic homes under construction that are currently for sale in Truckee. They will all be live on the MLS soon. Each offers a different community for your mountain modern home; they are Gray’s Crossing, Lahontan and Northstar Mountainside.
10768 Labelle Court in Gray’s Crossing is under construction but finishing steps are under way. Installation on the doug fir ceilings was just completed and are now being stained. Kitchen cabinets have been ordered and being custom built now. This $1,399,000 home offers four different outdoor living options with a great room that spills outside and offers views. The vast glazing in the house allows for all day sun as the front of the house orients south to let the sun in.
503 Lars Haugen in Lahontan is framed and working towards a January completion. This John McCabe Construction of the Ward Young Design is 3,800 square feet of fun with big views looking up at Lookout Mountain. The master bedroom access is conveniently located off the main living room allowing for a simple living feel when only two are enjoying the home yet the master is still very private. When the entire family and all the friends are in tow there are 4-bedrooms and 4.5-baths. The flex room over the 3-car garage provides space for living and entertainment options. This classic will be listed for $2,755,000. It will be live on the MLS by Christmas however it can be seen and purchased now by contacting me.
11950 Glades Court in Northstar Mountainside offers it all. For $5,875,000 this 5,600+ square foot 5-bedroom home offers ski-in and ski-out living on the mountain at Northstar with the Martis Valley and mountain views you would expect. The back patio is your own personal ski deck. Wind down after skiing, hiking or mountain biking right from your house in the hot tub nestled into the rocks. In the mood for fine dining the Ritz-Carlton is 30 seconds away. Need a separate game and movie room with a wet bar over a massive 3-car garage for all your toys, check that box too. This is truly luxury living on the mountain. This will be live on the MLS shortly but for an advanced look just let me know.
If you want to build your own luxury home check out Martis Camp on Lot 122 for $1,555,000. This is truly the best value available in Martis Camp with the location, views, sun and building options this lot offers. The front door is walking distance to the family barn and a pitching wedge from the first green. Check out this drone video tour of the property; Drone Video Tour Lot 122 Martis Camp
I also have a new hike to add to my Fall Classics hike list. Last weekend Erin and I ventured out onto the Rubicon Trail from D.L. Bliss to Emerald Bay. It was a good one but very popular. I really liked it but probably won’t do it again as the box is now checked and I will look for more remote hikes, but absolutely worth doing once. This was late October and it was still a busy trail. July must be interesting on this one. I would definitely say this one is at the top of the tourist list for hikes but maybe for good reason. The views along the West Shore on the trail were awesome with some really cool rock areas of the lake where they water was a metallic blue. It was fun to see. It was pretty good exercise too. When you park at Rubicon you can park at the first parking lot right when you pull in if you want to add distance to your trek. If you don’t then drive down further and you can take off about a mile going down at the beginning and back up at the end. You might have to pay to park down below in the summer.
Boo! That doesn’t work very well with that picture above!
