The Cool Tahoe House for this week offers big Lake Tahoe views! I also think this house offers big upside and could really be a value purchase. The home is located above Kings Beach and is technically right on the edge of Tahoe Vista and Kings Beach. The access is halfway up HW 267 between Kings Beach and Northstar off of Regency. This is a great location for both summer (Kings Beach and lake access just minutes down the hill) and winter (Northstar ski area less than 10 minutes away along snowshoeing and snowmobiling right out your back door) action. You could ride your mountain bike out of either side of your house. Access the Tahoe Rim Trail or just go for a big or short hike with Lake views the entire time for you and your significant other, whether that be a husband, wife or dog! The home is at the end of a cul-de-sac and includes two lots. Both are bonuses for great for privacy. When you look at the pictures the open space you see below the back deck while looking at the lake is just that, permanent open space. The very cool wrap around deck allows for more vista options. The home is a little dated and it would be nice if the big wall between the kitchen and dining room could be taken down, which maybe it can, I don’t know, but is a good layout with a bonus family room. The pictures don’t help the house marketing much. Note this is not my listing as you all know if it were professional photographs would have been taken! The location and views are the real appeal here and they are not showcased very well. You can make changes to the house but you can’t change the location or the views!

This one would be a fun one to help someone purchase. This would be even a more fun one to be the right family that owns this one.
While looking at the lake I have to mention the awesome sail boat ride I went on this week. It was, well, awesome! There is nothing like being out on Lake Tahoe. Every time I get the opportunity I ask myself why I don’t do it more. I don’t own a million dollar sail boat which is one reason but I do own a paddleboard! Any time on Lake Tahoe is great time. Good to have great friends in key places! I hope you all get your chances on the lake. The owner of this house certainly would!
Regarding the bird in picture here is the explanation. Yes it is a terrible picture and no it isn’t real. That is art, I guess you would call it that, in the window. This is an example of why I think there is upside in this house and built in value!
