It states that jobs are changing in ski area. Mystery House – Gray’s Crossing
Follow along with me and watch as my good friend builds his family dream home. If you pay close enough attention you could end up with an invite to the grand opening deck party. If you get to know him you might end up with a life long pass for a bonus beverage when playing the back 9! If you are going to have an entrance like this you hope there is something exciting at the end. You won't be Continue Reading
Giants Game!
The Lucky Livak Family attended the Giants game as the winners of the DFRE website contest. This was their view! They even got to watch The Bum pitch although the Giants lost 2-0. Zarek is a big baseball fan, good player too, so he was awfully excited about being able to take his family to the game. As you can see he and his sister Anya were all smiles. Congrats to the Livak family and Continue Reading
August TMR Market Update
The TMR August report points out that August $1 million + sales were half of 2014 yet the overall market transaction numbers were on par with average. What does this tell us? It tells us that if there has been snow last winter the market would really be crushing it. This tells me that if there is a strong snow year the prices and demand will increase. It was a busy summer despite the weak Continue Reading
Watson Lake Hike
Watson Lake Hike Watson Lake is on the Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT) a few miles west from Brockway Summit up in the mountains between Kings Beach and Tahoe City. I have been hearing about it for years. I thought you could access it pretty easily from the Ritz-Carlton…not so much. Now that my kids are older we are exploring more. There are so many cool hikes and areas out there to see. Even after Continue Reading
DFRE Website Contest Winners!
The drawing for the winners in the dougflynnrealestate.com launch contest was held yesterday at the Village at Northstar. The Autumn Food & Wine Festival is going on this weekend. The picture above from the Cirque du Soleil type performance was taken right at the front entrance. Pretty cool maneuverings by those ladies. A video of the live drawing is posted on my Instagram and Facebook Continue Reading
Labor Day Sale Strategy
Labor Day is one of the best weekends to shop for ski gear. Here is my DFRE strategy. If you are able Thursday is a good day to start. If you aren’t don’t worry many of the sales aren’t ready until Friday anyway. The Northstar tent is like Fort Knox until Friday. They are just getting set up on Thursday. They are very organized and all the sale items have to be in the tent before the sale Continue Reading
Truckee ranks in Richest Small Towns in America
Bloomberg Business recently ran a great article about the attraction of wealth to the small towns of America and ranked them. Truckee is ranked 15th. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-08-19/these-are-the-20-richest-small-towns-in-america So why is Truckee ranked among the Richest Small Towns in America? It isn’t because I live here! It is a combination of an incredibly beautiful area Continue Reading
