Northstar

Located in central Truckee Northstar is the ski area you see to the south passing through Truckee on Highway 80. Specifically Lookout Mountain and chair are the runs you see. If you are as lucky as I am you can see it from your living room and deck, pretty cool. I don’t live in Northstar but central Truckee. Vail Resorts owns the Northstar ski area and has not only made amazing moves with the mountain but has enhanced the overall Northstar experience. Vail Resorts is a nice partner to have as a ski resort operator for a homeowner in Northstar. Northstar real estate options are led by the Village at Northstar and now Mountainside Northstar ski-in and ski-out properties. Mountainside is so prominent that it must have its own slot below. There is a wide range of single family home offerings in Northstar along with condos that range from the original Northstar condos starting at $200,000 stepping up to the luxury Village condos ranging from $500,000 to $2.5 million and culminating with Mountainside townhomes and Ritz Carlton penthouses that go from $2 million and up. Northstar really does offer an amazing combination of the North Tahoe, Truckee and ski resort lifestyle that can’t be matched.
